Like a bowerbird, I am a collector — of images, motifs, iconography, and language. I gather fragments and study them closely, turning each over and inside out. I consider their shape, their sound, their history, and their shifting meanings. Are they grounded in something solid, or are they fleeting? How do they speak to one another? Do they whisper, or do they insist?
From this internal archive, threads begin to surface. They converge within my paintings, where historical reference and personal interpretation meet. The work is layered with research and reverence for the past, yet it is filtered through a distinctly contemporary lens.
I aim to create images that invite curiosity — work that encourages viewers to look longer, think deeper, and carry a sense of creative inquiry into their own lives.
