Dimmitt Contemporary Art is pleased to present SEQUENCE, a group exhibition at our Houston location featuring new works by artists Myles Bennett, Sara Genn, Lori Glavin, Logan Ledford, Madeleine Walton and Rana Rochat. The exhibition will be on view from Thursday, September 4th through Friday, October 3rd.
Myles Bennett (b.1983 Nashville, Tennessee) is a Brooklyn-based multimedia artist whose work has been exhibited and collected throughout the United States in both private and corporate collections. He received his BFA in architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2006.
Sara Genn (b.1972 Toronto, Canada) is a Palm Springs-based artist known for her use of color and form in her geometric abstract compositions. She graduated with a BFA from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario. Her work is exhibited internationally and has been collected in both private and public collections, including her recent acquisition by the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego.
Lori Glavin (b.1958 Buffalo, New York) is an abstract painter, printmaker and collage artist who has been involved in the visual arts for over 35 years. She earned her BFA from Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts and has exhibited her work in over 100 group and solo shows nationwide.
Logan Ledford (b.1987 Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is a New Orleans-based artist known for her minimalist approach and unapologetic use of color when it comes to her compositions. She received her Bachelor of Interior Design from Louisiana State University in 2009 and studied under Anne Cicero at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. Her work has been collected in both private and corporate collections.
Madeleine Walton (b.1993 Dallas, Texas) is a Philadelphia-based artist who explores the intersection of porcelain with patterns, textures, hues, and organic elements. She has completed various studio residencies and her work has been collected in both private and corporate collections.
Rana Rochat (b. 1960 Memphis, Tennessee) is an Atlanta-based artist who works in the encaustic medium, aiming to capture the delicate balance between order and chaos. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and her work is held in public collections including Neiman Marcus and Hyatt Hotels as well as private collections throughout the United States.
