Clementine Maconachie is a Sydney-based artist whose work embraces the beauty of imperfection. Her physical process involves using her own body weight to hand cut or cold-bend metals and stone, with a juxtaposing end product that explores softness and organic shapes. Through her work she finds beauty and softness in industrial materials creating organic, minimal and sometimes figurative forms. Maconachie's recent work includes folded sculptures in steel aluminium, brass, copper and totems in Hebel and wood.
