Ali McNabney-Stevens is a British artist based in Melbourne. Her paintings and drawings grow from sketchbook studies, still life arrangements, and the quiet details of everyday life.

At the heart of her practice is sustained looking. Through repeated observation, ordinary subjects reveal unexpected relationships of shape, angle, position, and shadow. Familiar objects become a way of looking more closely. Rather than seeking exact description, her work emerges through observation, intuition, and the act of making itself.
