Kathy Dimmitt is the founder and principal art advisor of Dimmitt Contemporary Art. Before starting the gallery in 2013, she worked as an independent art advisor for 8 years. Kathy's strategy for finding and exhibiting artists is to thrust herself into their world. Her frequent studio visits and sharp eye as an art advisor allows her to bring back the best work into the gallery. The artists represented and exhibited at the gallery reflect her keen aesthetic and passion for visual language. The gallery reflects Kathy's passion and business savvy.
Dimmitt Contemporary Art provides an innovative setting for exhibition and collecting of contemporary artists. Kathy says the most rewarding part of her job "is being inspired by an array of talented artists and having the ability to provide them with a platform to get their message heard." Her background as both a business expert and art advisor has been the foundation for the success of Dimmitt Contemporary Art.
Director and Art Advisor
Bailey Miller is a native from Louisiana, who moved to Houston, Texas in 2016 upon graduation from Louisiana State University. She holds a bachelor’s in Art History and Business Administration. She has extensive experience in the contemporary art market making her an asset to Dimmitt Contemporary Art. Bailey has studied in New York at Christie’s Education. She has also worked alongside prominent New York art advisors and art galleries. From these experiences, she learned the ins and outs of the contemporary art market.
Upon recognizing the burgeoning art scene in Houston, Bailey realized the city’s unique potential. She then decided to dedicate herself to its growth. Her goal as an art advisor is to share her education and creativity with her clients. This provides them with the best advice in managing and starting their collections. Her enthusiasm for and deep knowledge of art helps her build meaningful collections with her clients.
